"Thank you again and I look forward to giving you the report on how the reminder of the training goes as well as the awesome contribution total that everyone

made!"

ABWC supports Dr. Brinell Slocumb, in the AIDS Marathon Training Program. Dr. Slocumb plans to run the marathon in August 2008 to raise money for the AIDS Project Los Angeles. Please check out Brinell's personal web site:

Hello friends,
I am gearing up for another 10 mile training run on Saturday as the days get closer to my big day in San Francisco!  As you know, I was given an extension from the May 9th deadline and I am happy to report that I am only $500 away from my goal of $2400. Thank you to those who have given generously to this cause and responded to the urgent call to assist those with HIV/AIDS.
I know several of you have indicated your desire and plan to give and I know with busy schedules, it may have slipped your mind. I ask that you would please, today, go on-line and make a pledge to help those who are HIV+ and AIDS diagnosed.
No matter the amount of your donation, it can be very helpful to AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA). When I worked in the HIV Mental Health Unit at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, APLA was a key resource agency that many of my clients used for services. I know first hand how much good this organization does for the community. I thank you very much for financial and emotional support during such a substantial undertaking!

Warmly,
Brinell
